Security is a fundamental topic for the tourism chain, constituting a priority agenda for HotéisRIO. With the change in leadership at Rio's Security Secretariat, the entity's president, Alfredo Lopes, sought out the new secretary, Victor Cesar Carvalho dos Santos, to present the sector's demands and concerns.
At the meeting, held on May 3, at the Hilton Copacabana, Lopes heard some of the projects that the secretary intends to put into practice.
“He presented us with transformative ideas for the security of our state.
We were very impressed, especially because the issue of security is a key factor in the good performance of tourist activity”, stated Lopes. Victor Santos has more than 30 years of experience in the Federal Police and actions against some of the best-known names in organized crime in Rio.
