Rio de Janeiro hosts the third edition of Capital do Samba on the 18th and 19th of May

Cariocas who are passionate about samba and pagode can be happy. The third edition of Capital do Samba arrives in Rio de Janeiro on the 18th and 19th of May, the event will feature the presence of big names in samba and national pagode, including Péricles, Dilsinho, Ferrugem, Xande de Pilares and many other attractions.

Being known as the city that is the birthplace of samba, Rio de Janeiro hosts the event that reinforces the importance of the rhythm, but is not limited to just talking about it. In this 2024 edition, Capital do Samba brings a strong pagode presence to the festival days. With highlights for performances by singer Léo Santana, considered number 1 in the Bahian pagode, for the great debut of Menos É Mais on the stage of Capital do Samba, and for the phenomenon Sorriso Maroto, with more than 25 years of history and countless hits that promise thrill the public on festival days.  

The Festival was born from the union of the groups GH Music, Gold and Festa Cheia, “Capital do Samba aims to exalt the musical segment, so fundamental in the history of Brazilian culture, and promote a great open-air show. We are very happy to hold this edition and hope, in the near future, to reach other capitals”, comments Andriws Moraes, from GH Music.

Capital do Samba expects to receive an audience of approximately 12 thousand people per day. Tickets are now on sale, with options for Saturday, Sunday, and even a full passport for the weekend, at the Arena or Open Beer spaces (premium beer and water). For more information access  Join  .
