Pier Mauá expects the arrival of almost 100 thousand tourists in March, through cruises

The frantic pace in Pier Mauá continues in March, further boosting tourism and the local economy. With a total of 29 berths on 14 ships, seven of which are international, the arrival of almost 100,000 tourists is expected to disembark at the Rio de Janeiro cruise terminal during the month.

In the first half of March, from the 2nd to the 15th, 16 dockings of 11 ships are scheduled, with five of them of international origin. On five different dates, there will be simultaneous dockings, including four ships on the 3rd and 11th, and two ships on the 12th, 14th and 15th. In the first half of the month alone, 50 thousand tourists are expected to arrive at Pier Mauá.

This cruise season, one of the longest in recent years, began on October 27, 2023 and will continue until May 4, 2024. With a total of 37 ships, 27 foreign and 10 national, and a forecast of 85 national calls, 33 international, 400 thousand visitors are expected throughout the season.
