Latam will suspend Rio-Argentina flights from March

From March onwards, the route Rio de Janeiro – Argentina, starting from Tom Jobim International Airport (RIOgaleão), from the LATAM Brazil, will be suspended.

According to the airline, the last flight from the Island of Governor, at North Zone carioca, heading to Jorge Newbery Regional Airport will be operated on March 1st.

According to Latam, there is no forecast for the route to resume, as stated on the company's reservation website.

According to the Aeroin website, the company also does not offer direct flights from Rio to the city of Ezeiza, at Greater Buenos Aires. The only alternative is to operate via Guarulhos international airportSão Paulo.

In a note to the market, LATAM clarified that the suspension of the route is motivated by operational issues. The company also recalled that in the past, the flight had already become seasonal, with the suspension of operations for some periods of the year.

According to Aeroin, travelers can count on direct flights to Buenos Aires from operators GOALEmirates, FlybondiAerolíneas ArgentinasBritish Airways and landing in Ezeiza. With Aerolíneas, you can go to the Aeroparque terminal.
