Bruno Mars in Rio: Producer announces new date and two extra shows, check out the new dates

Presentation that would take place on October 4th was rescheduled for October 19th

The concert by singer Bruno Mars, which was scheduled to take place on October 4th in Rio, was rescheduled for October 19th, at the Nilton Santos Stadium. Live Nation Brasil, the company responsible for the artist's performances in Brazil, also announced this Friday (17th) that the city will host two extra performances, on the 16th and 20th of October.FOTOGALERIA

The shows were rescheduled after the Mayor Eduardo Paes states that he would not give authorization due to preparations for the 2024 elections. The municipal election will be held on October 6th. The mayor's statement came after tickets for the artist's performance sold out in less than an hour.

At the time, Paes justified the decision by claiming that the electoral process requires a very large mobilization of civil servants to take place. He also mentioned the need to have Military Police and Municipal Guard personnel for the elections.

According to the producer, tickets that have already been sold are valid for the new dates. If the buyer cannot be there, the ticket price and fees will be refunded at the Ticket Master website.

With the announcement of the change, the dates of the Brasília show, which would have taken place on the 17th and 18th of October, were scheduled for the 26th and 27th of the same month. In São Paulo, with four sold-out performances, the producer announced two more extra dates: October 4th and 5th, which would previously have been in Rio.

Two performances were also announced in Curitiba, on October 31st and November 1st, and a show in Belo Horizonte, on November 5th. The general sale of the new shows in all cities will be on May 22nd.
