After a long period of virtual meetings, the HotéisRIO Commercial Forum, led by José Domingo Bouzon, brought together in person managers from associated hotels at the Rio Othon hotel, on June 29th.

Complying with all security protocols, the meeting hosted the City Hall's investment promotion and attraction agency – INVEST.RIO. President Rodrigo Stalone brought an overview of attracting new events and investments to the city, with emphasis on the areas of technology and creative innovation, including the Porto Maravaley project, which aims to transform the Port of Rio into a hub for startups, and the competition to host the Web Summit, the biggest technology event in Europe.

Next, Ana Paula Lopes (Aviation Marketing) and Rafael Carrara (Market & MICE Development Aviation Marketing), from RIOgaleão, brought relevant data on the recovery of the airline network to construct possible scenarios for the resumption of the national and international tourism sector. Although Brazil still shows signs of recovery 20% below other major capitals, on the international route, flights are expected to resume to four destinations in South America from November.

A general overview of the O Rio Não Para campaign was presented at the end of the meeting. Superintendent Theresa Jansen motivated those present to join the campaign, which already has important reception partners, such as HotéisRIO, RIOgaleão, Bondinho Pão de Açúcar, Grupo Cataratas, Rio Line and Campo Olímpico de Golfe. In the month dedicated to holidays, tourists will have one more reason to visit the city of Rio de Janeiro, enjoying exclusive benefits and/or discounts at the hotel chain and various tourist facilities.
