On the 21st, the Grand Hyatt Barra hosted a meeting of businesspeople with the elected governor of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Wilson Witzel, the Secretary of Economic Development, Gutemberg Fonseca, and the Secretary of Tourism, Otávio Leite.
The event was created by the Supermarket Association of the State of Rio de Janeiro — Asserj — and was also attended by representatives from industry, construction, tourism, bars and restaurants. ABIH-RJ supported the event and president Alfredo Lopes was also present.
Public security, a factor that directly impacts the main productive sectors of the economy, such as tourism, was one of the agendas of the meeting. Witzel has plans to reformulate the image of the capital of Rio, which is very worn out in the media.
The reduction of tax burdens, state partnerships for innovation, opening new businesses, attracting investments, working with ALERJ to build an agenda that helps the Productive Sector and permanent dialogue with State bodies were also among the issues discussed on the agenda .
