Rio de Janeiro will host the Paralympic track cycling World Championships between March 20th and 24th

The city of Rio de Janeiro will host the World Paralympic Track Cycling Championship between March 20th and 24th. The event, held at the Olympic velodrome, is expected to welcome 260 athletes from 40 countries. This is the second opportunity in which the competition will be held in Brazil: in 2018 the event was also held in Cidade Maravilhosa.

“It is a great responsibility to hold the World Championship in Brazil for the second time at such an important time. We are very optimistic and committed to offering an unforgettable experience for all participants and spectators”, declared the Paralympic cycling coordinator at the Brazilian Cycling Confederation (CBC), Edilson Rocha.

The 2024 Track Paralympic Cycling World Championship is organized by the Brazilian Cycling Confederation (CBC) in partnership with the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB), under the supervision of the International Cycling Union (UCI).
