Secretary of State for Tourism, Gustavo Tutuca visits Rio Bus Station

Rio's Secretary of State for Tourism, Gustavo Tutuca, visited Rio Bus Station last Tuesday (20), one of the main entry points for tourists in the State, responsible for moving millions of passengers.

The visit began at the new Tourist Support Space #tônoRio, recently opened by Setur-RJ, in partnership with Rodoviária do Rio S/A. The 52m2 room is located in the arrivals area and has bilingual receptionists for tourists to answer questions and learn about itinerary options, attractions, as well as brochures and crafts from the 12 tourist regions that make up the State. Tutuca was received by the dealership's directors Roberta Faria and Marcel Rocha, as well as the Head of Communications, Beatriz Lima.

The #tônoRio Tourist Support Space opens up the opportunity for travelers to get to know Rio de Janeiro, in addition to the capital and the possibility of enjoying sun, beach, mountain, nature and culture destinations, just three hours away from Rio. Only in Carnival, Rio Bus Station registered half a million passengers on 16 thousand buses.

The bus terminal has already received more than R$ 90 million in improvements such as new CCTV security cameras, new stores and services, as well as being the only one with an air conditioning system in the country. The opening hours of Espaço #tônoRio are from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Sunday, and will be available until April 9th.
