Macaé airport (RJ) will once again offer commercial flights to Santos Dumont airport, which connects the state capital with other cities in the country, starting next Monday (10). Operations return after around a month of interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The route will be operated by the airline Azul, with the ATR-72 aircraft, which has a capacity of 70 seats.

According to the concessionaire that manages the airport, the resumption of commercial flights seeks to meet the region's mobility demand, which in addition to being a national reference in the offshore sector, stands out for its tourism and business infrastructure.

The route will have two weekly frequencies, on Mondays and Fridays, but, according to the concessionaire, the airline plans to add another frequency, offering the Macaé – Santos Dumont route three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, starting this week May 17th.

Landing in Macaé is scheduled for 1:15 pm, and takeoff at 2 pm.

“It is worth noting that the airline network is dynamic, and times, dates and number of flights per week may undergo changes made by the airline. Therefore, the recommendation is that passengers always check the flight status before boarding”, highlighted the concessionaire.
