The area of the emblematic swimming pool Copacabana Palace it underwent a decorative transformation and was reopened last Tuesday (1st). The new decoration features an exclusive print of tropical foliage and is in line with the European summer trend, taking into account the concept of Instagrammable pools.

The project by the architect from Rio Ivan Rezende makes use of wooden umbrellas with striped fabric, lining in tropical prints and embroidered cushions in shades of green and orange, mixing nostalgic and contemporary touches.

The fabrics were chosen from materials that are resistant to the tropical climate.

The ombrelones now have a more rounded and modern shape, with a wooden structure. With solid tones, the cushions are embroidered with an exclusive print and fringes are in ironing, a technique that guarantees elegance to the textile details.

The change in the pool area is part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Rio hotel, opened on August 13, 1923.

Already Janis Joplin, the queen of rock and roll, stepped onto national soil in 1970 to enjoy the Rio carnival and, legend has it, she was asked to leave the hotel pool after diving completely naked.
