Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro celebrates eight years as a Marvelous City with special events to celebrate the date 

On one side, the blue sea and white sands of Barra da Tijuca beach. On the other, the Marapendi Lagoon with its native vegetation. This unique setting is the address of the Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro, a hotel that celebrates eight years since its opening in March, contributing notably to the development of the region, increasing accommodation options and the luxury tourist flow.

To celebrate the anniversary, the urban resort prepared special activities for guests and non-guests.

On March 28th, the day the hotel turns eight years old, there will be a four-way dinner with resident chef Guilherme Campos, from Shiso, the hotel's award-winning Japanese restaurant, welcoming chef Uilian Goya, one of the most talented chefs in the current generation of Japanese cuisine in Brazil. He worked in Michelin-starred restaurants and now runs Goya Zushi, in São Paulo, where he practices classic Japanese cuisine, valuing meticulous preparations and presentations, with a counter that serves just 10 people per serving. The host has more than 20 years of experience and specialized in Japan, where he studied at the Nagoya Sushi school. The dinner will have seven courses and will be paired with sake from start to finish (R$ 670 per person). You must book in advance via link. 

On March 31st, the Easter Brunch will take place at Tano, starting at 1pm. Designed by banquet chef Carlos Volker, the buffet will feature vegan options, salad stations, starters, fish and seafood, kids and freshly made pasta. Highlights include the seasonal themed dessert table, with exclusive chocolate eggs created by pastry chef Paula Peixoto. In the drinks section, sparkling wine, white and red wines, beer and non-alcoholic drinks are included (R$ 385, per adult, taxes included; teenagers aged 13 to 17 pay R$ 289; children aged 6 to 12 pay R$ 193 and children under 6 years of age R$ 10).

The hotel has been consolidated on the national tourist scene for eight years, being recognized for the excellence of the services offered and for its structure, which caters to both corporate events and tourists looking for leisure and privacy. 

In addition to being dog friendly and having a space designed for the animals' leisure, the park, the Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro also offers a schedule of resort activities that include yoga class, caipirinha class, bike experience, cachaça tasting, ferry ride on Marapendi Lagoon and much more. For younger guests there is the Kids Club, a recreation area for children up to 12 years old, available daily from 9am to 6pm, where recreational activities such as drawing, painting, reading, theater, games, among others, take place. 

In another space is the Grand Club Lounge, an exclusive area for guests staying in suites and executive rooms with special services. With large terraces and two scenery options, Marapendi Lagoon and the beach – the Lounge offers breakfast and evening cocktails.

In total, there are 436 rooms and suites and a common area that includes two swimming pools, the Atiaia Spa & Fitness, with several international standard therapies, a complete gym for physical exercise, and two restaurant options, the award-winning Japanese Shiso and the contemporary Cantô Gastrô & Lounge.
